Hi guys, Imran Mitha, our fellow post-sec student is the marketing lead for Civic 150 BC this year. He reached out to us saying that they are planning to have 3 volunteer events over the diamond jubilee year in which youth in our community will have opportunities to serve with the goal of improving the lives of fellow Canadians. Some of the partnering organizations are habitat for humanity, the surrey food bank, and the YWCA. The BC council wants to get the ISAs of UBC SFU and UVIC to get on board so that our students have access to these upcoming volunteer opportunities.
